Puerto Rico, once more
We arrived back in Puerto Rico this morning, with grand plans, I wanted to go to the bakery Karen suggested and do some of the many things on her list. But we couldn't enter our accommodation until 4pm, so we had a heap of luggage to cart around.
We took an uber from the port to a laundrette, we needed to do laundry. We spent almost 2 hours there, but they did have free wifi, so that was a blessing.
One of Kearie's pics, it was supposed to cost $10, but it ended up being $20, as the washing maching charged her card $15 instead of $4.50. No idea why. It was still cheaper than our first laundry bill
We then dragged our luggage towards our accommodation, we needed to find somewhere to have lunch and sit for awhile, the luggage is heavy and the footpaths in Puerto Rico are not very well maintained, they wrecked two of the wheels on my small carry on case. Not overly impressed.
We finally found a place to get lunch, we stayed there about an hour, then Kearie messaged the accommodation again, as they had said they would look into an earlier check in. They are not great at communication and just don't get back to you. But they finally did and told us about a cafe we could leave our luggage at, for a price, at the bottom of the accommodation. We went there, but it would be $7 for each large case and $5 for each small one. No... no..no, but if we brought a drink we could sit there for awhile. So we did that and Kearie finally got an answer to her email. We could check in at 3pm. So another hour or so wait and we were in...
The place is small but quite nice, we are on the 19th floor, thank heavens for lifts. The view is nice for up here.

We then decided to go downstairs and check out the pool and the beach
The beach one way
Kearie swimming, without her brave shoes... She could see the bottom.
We played cards and then had an early night. Tomorrow we join our next cruise, I hope it is as good as the first one. We had an amazing time and we both loved it. We may do another one, another time.
Talk again when I am lucky enough to get wifi.
Cheers
Lones
Pity the hotel wouldn't let you leave your luggage there. Most hotels do.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to our next trip at the end of may to Japan. Carol.
