St Croix, the US Virgin Islands
St Croix, the US Virgin Islands
We arrived early to port. The activity we organised was cancelled, so instead of booking something else, we decided to have a chill day and spend it at the beach.
Is it a mermaid, maybe, or a little Aussie fat chick.
We saw a crab on the way, but my highlight was the cute little dog that was running up and down the beach in his life vest and even went out on a catamaran. He was adorable.
The highlight of my day, he was so cute. He went off on a boat
Kearie's brave shoes, she won't go in the water without them.. Little sook
We have been collecting magnets from each place, as well as the charms and I love the cute little one I brought today from a flea market.
So Cute
Yesterday facebook blocked me, didn't say why, just that I had appealed and would know within 48 hours. I didn't even know I had appealed. I had to take video of myself and all. So I am not sure if they were confused I was logging in from the Caribbean, or what their problem was. I have logged in from all over the world before, and never had any issues. Anyway I am back and can now access my account again, thank goodness. I think maybe they thought my blog was advertising and now realise it isn't. I got a sorry for the inconvenience. So all good now.
Kearie visited the fort near the dock, I went back to the ship. She said it was really interesting, but I had had enough and took the open air bus back up the mile long dock. It was really muggy and I was annoyed I was blocked from facebook when I had free wifi, and basically pissed off in general. So I got the sulks and took my bat and ball and went home... That'll show 'em! Who I have no idea.. But I felt better once back on board.

We played a couple of trivia games onboard in the afternoon, Kearie did really well in the Friends one, I would hope so, the amount of times she has watched the reruns. We did not do so well in the 50's and 60's tunes though... We also did alright in the general trivia. But they do have too many American questions. Like their national flower, the 7th president, though Kearie did guess that, their major cheese brand, and the dearest property in Monopoly, which was The Broadwalk, not Mayfair, so again American. It was Jackson, by the way, the 7th one. So without the basic American questions, we did okay. They need more world general knowledge and not just USA stuff.
One day in the lift, this American couple got on and they were dressed head to foot in bright yellow, with the word Jamaica and palm trees printed all over. This young American guy asks, "Have you been to Jamaica", all innocent, and everyone either looked down, or away, not wanting to laugh. They were "Yes, we have". Then I saw them again, this time in orange and yellow, with Sint Maarten all over them. I have seen them several times since. They really get into their outfits and are having a really fun time. I wouldn't recognise them if they wear normal clothes though. You don't really look at their features, you are overwhelmed with their attire.
I really wish I had gotten a photo of the Jamaican one, it was the brightest and best.
I finally remembered to take a pic of my food, but only the starter, which was a kind of taco, then I got lost in the food and you guys missed out, again. Sorry...
They are very concerned with your safety on board. The dinner knives can hardly cut the vegetables and the steak knives are rounded at the end, so you can't stab anyone, you could saw them, if they stood still long enough I suppose. But really a very safe place to eat.
Tomorrow we visit Dominica. I am looking forward to that, we will go Dolphin and Whale watching. Fingers crossed we see something.
I can finally post this as Kearie has purchased 24 hours of internet. We were really struggling without it.
Cheers for now.
Lones
